This is from my earlier 3/30 ~ Rainbow Waterfall Scarf article.
If any fellow knitters wish to try this waterfall scarf,
I'm sharing the pattern as set out below:
(1) 用【簡易起針法】起19針。（簡易起針法說明請下拉到文章最後喔！）
Cast on 19 stitches using the simple loop method. (please scroll to bottom of article for explanation of the simple loop method!)
(2) 第一段：全部織下針。
Row 1: Knit.
(3) 第二段（及以後所有段數）：全部織扭下針。
Row 2 (and all remaining rows): Knit through the back loop.
(4) 重複第二段直到達到想要的圍巾長度，
中間注意不能有任何加針或減針。
Repeat Row 2 for desired length of scarf,
being careful not to drop or add stitches.
步驟(1) ~ (4) 大約可以下圖說明：
Steps (1)~(4) can be summarized as the following chart:
(5) 收針：先以正常套收針方式收兩針。
再將右棒針上的針目拉大（如下圖），
並將剩下的線球穿過這個大線圈。
將線球拉緊，也就是收第三針。
Binding off: Bind off 2 stitches.
Then enlarge the loop on the right needle,
and pull remaining ball of yarn through the loop,
and pull up to close.
This makes 3 bound off stitches.
(6) 再來織一個下針。
然後重複步驟(5)，
直到最後收三針。
最後將線球穿過最後一個針目再剪線。
Knit the next stitch,
then repeat (5),
ending by binding off 3 stitches.
Pull the yarn through the last loop.
(7) 將棒針拉出還留在棒針上的4個下針，
並把這幾針一路拉開到最底端。
最後藏線頭結束囉！
Remove needle from the 4 live stitches.
Encourage the live stitches to drop the entire length of the scarf.
Weave in ends.

【簡易起針法】圖示如下：
Below are the instructions for the simple loop method for those who want to try it:
左手拿棒針與線的尾端，
右手拿線球長的那一端。
將右手大拇指依下圖方向繞過毛線。
Hold the cut end of the yarn and needle in your left hand,
and hold the working yarn in your right hand.
Move your right thumb down behind then up in front of the working yarn.
將棒針穿進右手拇指上的線圈，
再將拇指移開（這就起了一針）。
重複動作，共起19針。
Insert the needle into the loop on your thumb from front to back.
Remove your thumb.
Repeat until you have 19 stitches on the needle.
